Salvatore Liporace in Malta

The Bonsai Master Salvatore Liporace has accepted Malta's invitation to judge this year's exhibition and also to train our members through a series of workshops. Salvatore Liporace is a professional Bonsai artist. He established the Studio Botanico in Milan, the first place in Italy entirely dedicated to Bonsai.Thanks to frequent meetings in Japan with the Master Masahiko Kimura his school became a centre of excellence in Europe.

Many of his students are affirmed teachers in Europe. Many members of his school have competed in the EBA New Talent Contests. In Europe he teaches on radio and television programs, performs demonstrations and workshops, and is known as an outstanding bonsai artist. He has also contributed numerous articles to European and American magazines. He has been a headliner demonstrator at many of the most important European conventions. His personal interpretation of the art of bonsai has brought him a high reputation, making him one of the most requested bonsai professionals in Europe.

He was invited by the University of Architecture in Milan and by the University "La Sapienza" in Rome as demonstrator and speaker. He is a founder member, a board member of IBS (Collegio Nazionale Istruttori Bonsai e Suiseki) and president of didactic committee. In 1999 was honoured with the "BCI Writers and Phothographers Award". He has been selected as a demonstrator at the World Bonsai convention 2001.
